Reason to Celebrate

In the middle of a busy week of uniform and school supply deliveries, meeting with schools, registrations, and first days of class, we took a a quick pizza-and-cake break to celebrate our very special teachers and a very exciting step forward for both of them. Despite both being very busy working moms, they’ve both made the decision to continue their education at the university level through night and weekend classes. Heydi (left) was recently accepted into the Special Education program at the teaching University, and Edmy (right) is beginning her classes working towards a degree in Psychology.

I deeply admire both of these women - their work ethic, their desire and willingness to serve, and their ambition to pursue higher education. I’m excited to see how God will use this opportunity not only for their own personal development, but how it will help them better serve the hundreds of students - from all different backgrounds and circumstances - that cross paths with them each year through our ministry!

(Also worth noting, Heydi’s daughter Samantha successfully completed her first day of kindergarten today, so she thought she deserved to be in the picture too ❤️)
