Molly Hornsby
Molly Hornsby is the Founder and Director of Future of Hope Family Ministry since 2014. She currently lives in Tegucigalpa with her two children, Anderson and Yasmin. Being Director of a young ministry means she must take on many different roles, but Molly’s main focus is the communication and visits with all the families involved in the ministry, as well as all the organization and administrative tasks. She also enjoys the opportunity to do some one-on-one tutoring with kids that live too far away to attend the normal tutoring program. Her heart is to bring life and love into each one of the houses she visits, reminding them that they are not alone and that they are deeply loved by their Heavenly Father and that despite the circumstances that surround them, He has good plans for them.
Heydi Maradiaga
Heydi Maradiaga has served as a teacher in the ministry since 2018. She grew up in Los Pinos and currently lives in the community with her husband and young daughter, Samantha. Heydi worked in a multi-grade rural schoolhouse and a private school in Tegucigalpa before she began serving with the ministry. Her experience in education helps her to teach the kids that need the most attention, students with little or no reading ability despite their advanced age. Heydi also serves the ministry in any way she can, including home visits with families, a focus on supporting our high schoolers, individual homework help with students in need, and using her creativity to plan and execute the community events. She loves the opportunity to serve her community and reach out to kids that need it most. She not only is a devoted teacher for them, but truly loves and cares for them and strives to see them succeed in all areas of their life, educational and personal.
Edmy Perez
Edmy Perez is a mom of four kids, and has lived the majority of her life in Los Pinos making her very well known in the area. She has 15 years experience working in education, specifically in kindergarten and tutoring programs with other community organizations. She also has received various certifications pertaining to trauma competent care, children’s rights, and courses with with the national teaching university (UPNFM) to further her teaching abilities. Edmy joined our team in 2017 and has been a huge blessing to the ministry as she serves in many different ways. She teaches and cares for the students in our tutoring program, while also serving in whatever way she can - in home visits, reaching out to mothers in need, preparing food for all of our events and programs, and make connections with other nearby organizations. Her heart for children and for single mothers is undeniable, and she truly pours all of her heart and energy into serving her community.
