More Check-in Visits
Our visits are taking us to every single corner and trail up and down the community. The vast majority of students have overcome the odds to continue their education virtually, completing daily homework sent in WhatsApp groups. Some families weren’t able to keep up, whether it be for lack of cell phone, moms who can’t read and therefore can’t do the at home teaching with their kids, or simply being too overwhelmed and discouraged by the situation. Regardless, we want to encourage and animate each and every family to keep up the hard work, as we also work to find the best ways to support them in this upcoming year.
As we finish out our end of the year visits, the team and I now get a break for Christmas. We have thoroughly enjoyed meeting with each family and sharing a bit of Christmas joy with people we haven’t seen much of this year. It has been a time of encouraging, sharing, and remembering that through all that this year has thrown at us, there is always hope ahead of us. Let us focus on that hope above all!
“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning it’s shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” - Hebrews 12:2
